March Fitness Plan (Update)
4:04 PMSo it's officially been a month since I started the March Fitness Plan. I set a goal and worked hard (somewhat) to achieve it. The reason I even did this fitness plan thing was because I got to 161 pounds and didn't like how I felt. My pants were tight on me, my stomach was sticking out, and I felt sluggish all the time.
Anyways, the results are in.....
I got on the scale today and I weigh 154 pounds! I lost 7 pounds! My goal was to be 155 so I was surprised that I lost an extra pound.
How I lost the weight:
- Cut out fast food - Absolutely NO fast food! Unless it's a salad with fat free dressing
- Eat at restaurants only once or twice a month - This is when I ate whatever I wanted
- Home cooked healthy meals - This is one of the keys to losing weight
- Workout 4 or 5 days a week - I walked for 30 minutes on the treadmill at an incline, nothing to intense
- Walk everywhere! - When you go to the store park far away and walk, at work take the stairs, or other ways to keep moving daily
- Yogurt - I know Greek yogurt is better but I don't like the way it tastes. Add fruit and/or honey to it - Amazballs
- No late night eating - No eating 2 hours before bed and when you wake up eat a big breakfast
- Water! - Drink a lot of water. Duhhh. So go buy a water bottle container and start drinking.
- Keep snacks in your purse - Snack between meals so you won't be so hungry went it's time to eat your lunch or dinner. I keep almonds, pretzels, and apple slices in my bag.
That's all I did! Maybe I need to write a book on how to lose weigh the lazy way. (joking, not joking)
My next goal - Flat stomach and continue to lose a few more pounds. I'm 5"7 , so 148 -150 is my stopping point.
Coming soon....
I'm going to start posting some of my meals, snacks, and desserts. Hopefully, this can give people some ideas on healthy foods to eat. Also, Lundy and I are grad students so there won't be any Whole Foods here, basically Wal-Mart, because right now we ain't got money for all that. But yeah, you can loose weight from Wal-Mart foods, you just have to know how to shop.
