After 3 years in San Antonio and 2 years in Raleigh, Lundy and I have decided to sell our first home and move back to Houston!

We have been away from our hometown for 5 years (I still can't believe it's been that long) and many factors went into our decision to move back:

• Family and Friends - Lundy and I hated missing family and friends' events and milestone moments. 

• Future Kids - Since we plan on having kids in the future, it's easier to get help with our parents being in the same city... basically parents & in-laws = free help

• The Food - No place in Texas can touch Houston when it comes to a variety of ethnic food choices. 

• The City - Houston is a great place to raise children and to live. It's a big city with a southern touch. 

Lundy got a job first, he'll be working in Radiology in the medical center. After a few weeks of looking, I received a job at a local Houston museum.  We sold our home after being on the market for one week, we had a total of 4 offers before we went with the best one. We close on the home sometime next week. As for a place to live in Houston, we are currently living with my parents (which we'll do for a year) until we find a home. We are excited about this new journey in our lives and we give it all to God for making it happened. He has blessed us in so ways and we are forever thankful.

- Attended my very first ACL music festival

- Finally having the space to invite friends over to hang out

- Seeing my mom's face after throwing her a 60th birthday party

- Realizing more and more I have a very special bond with my parents - Lundy is surprised sometimes how open I am with them.

We just celebrated my mom's 60th birthday in Houston a few weeks ago. It was a Mardi Gras themed, and it turned out so great! She was smiling the whole night, so I'll say my dad, brother, and I did our jobs.

My mom's best friend helped us plan the whole thing, so thank you Mrs. Franklin. The party was originally suppose to be in September (the month of her actually birthday) but Hurricane Harvey happened. Thank goodness we were able to move the date with no issues.

My mom has the best friends a person could for, she is very loved by MANY people. She had so many gifts you would've thought it was a wedding. Yeah, my mom has wayyyy more friends than me. Lol. But she deserves it all, she will do anything for her friends and they know it. She's kind, smart, and beautiful inside and out. I pray God allows me to look this good at 60.
